It honestly looks like something that could be achieved on a base PS4. The lighting on the characters looks “flat,” the hit-to-body effects look not as “prerendered” like before…idk…it’s not impressing me… Then these current gameplay trailers come out and…it just looks like a very clean looking last gen game to me at this point. The reveal trailer had a lot of “prerendered” looking post effects…per-object motion blur (which lends to that CG look even more) and a beautiful use of the background having a nice bokeh depth-of-field…Īnd with those features, mixed with all the dynamic lighting hitting on the character models…it legit looked “next gen.” I just feel like…whatever post-processing effects they were using in the reveal trailer (mind you, they wanted us to explicitly know it was all “real time”) is generally gone and lost now in all the new footage. Suggested naming conventions, collaboration tips, common pipeline struggles and solutions. Including BP tools and options but focuses a lot on C++ and "under the hood" details.
